# Connect your AI to Indably

> Let Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP app draft posts straight into your Indably calendar, upload images and read results, with your approvals still in charge.

Published 20 October 2026 by Indably (https://indably.com/guides/connect-your-ai-to-indably).

Indably speaks **MCP**, the Model Context Protocol, the open standard AI apps use to work with other software. Connect Indably once and your AI can write a week of posts for a brand in its own voice, put them in the calendar, send them for approval, and tell you how last month went. Nothing skips your approvals.

## What your AI can do in Indably

- **See your brands and accounts:** which brands it can reach, the social accounts each posts to, and your usual posting times.
- **Learn the brand before it writes:** each connected network's rules (lengths, what's allowed, what TikTok asks every time) and the brand's recent posts with how they did, so it matches what works.
- **Create posts:** one caption, or a different one per network; links; a first comment; photos and videos. Drafts by default.
- **Move posts along:** send for review, approve (if you allow it), schedule at a time or the next free slot, take off the schedule.
- **Read results:** views, reactions, comments, shares and the best posts for any dates.
- **For Owners, if you allow it:** see the people in a brand, invite someone, and check billing.

It always acts as **you**, with no more than the role you choose when you connect it, and never more than your own role in a brand. Everything it creates lands in Indably's calendar with your team's approvals in front of it, and the activity log shows it.

## Switch it on

Connect your AI is an add-on, priced per brand per month (see [pricing](/pricing)). An Owner switches it on for each brand under **Settings → Connect your AI**. Brands without it stay invisible to AI apps.

## Add Indably to your AI app

Indably's MCP address is:

```
https://app.indably.com/mcp
```

- **Claude** (claude.ai, desktop or mobile): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it Indably, paste the address, then Connect.
- **ChatGPT:** Settings → Apps & Connectors → Create, with developer mode switched on. Paste the address and choose OAuth.
- **Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other tools:** add a remote MCP server (HTTP) with the address above.

Your app opens Indably's sign-in. Sign in as usual, choose the account and what the app may do (read only; write and send for review; write, approve and schedule; or, for Owners, everything), and allow it. That's it.

To disconnect, open **Settings → Connect your AI** and press Disconnect next to the app. It stops working at once.

## Things to ask it

- "Write five Instagram and Facebook posts for Harbour Roast's coffee cupping on Saturday, in the voice of our best posts, and save them as drafts."
- "What's scheduled for Bondis.ai next week? Anything missing on Thursday?"
- "Which of last month's posts did best on LinkedIn, and why do you think so?"
- "Upload this photo and schedule it to all our accounts for Friday at 9:00, with the caption we agreed."

## For scripts and servers

The same server accepts an API key from **Settings → API and webhooks**, sent as `Authorization: Bearer ind_…`. For your own systems, the [REST API and webhooks](/guides/indably-api-and-webhooks) are usually the better fit.

## Safety, in short

- Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Access tokens last an hour and renew automatically; a stolen renewal token is caught the moment it's used twice, and the connection is closed.
- AI apps can't see brands without the add-on, can't exceed the role you gave them, and can't skip approvals.
- Indably never shows an AI app your network passwords or tokens: it publishes for it.
